ECCO Labs

An immersive platform to bring ECCO innovation directly to consumers.

ECCO Labs is a sub brand of ECCO Shoes with a modern and dynamic identity that offers consumers select limited-edition products that feature innovative design and advanced technology. Creating a community through data-driven customization and unique digital experiences The challenge was to find new ways for existing and new consumers to engage with the innovation and technology that are behind the design. With a team at ILE we developed the full platform from concept and integration strategy to visual identity and web design.

Links

The visual identity at its core is about embracing and merging the main brand’s heritage and Labs’ modern, bold aesthetics and innovation driven focus. The logo is constructed from two stand-alone identities separated by a bold line that balances collaboration and technical precision.

ECCO Labs’ custom headline typeface [Benalia Display by CLOSER Studio] allows the brand to feature products and innovations more prominently in communications.

The colour palette relies on a neutral foundation of black and off-white; accents of neon green nod to creativity and forward thinking the platform will express.

ECCO Labs' digital presence goes beyond just simple e-commerce. It’s a data-driven, interactive experience platform to explore the brand and products in unforeseen and unexpected environments. Concepts live in their own digital realm, each with a unique online experience and purpose to engage with the product.

Creating the possibility to get in-depth information about the different innovations and technologies is a fixed key feature of the platform and is highlighted throughout.
